Psychic Vampire

One of my commenters was asking what a 'psychic vampire' is.

My own view is that this is someone who is so negative in their own life that they seek to drain every ounce of positive energy from another person. If you are a psychic reader people like this seem to gravitate towards you if you are not feeling strong because you are an easy target.

I do not believe that this is a deliberate act. The psychic vampire needs energy and will suck it up from anywhere. This is why it is essential to protect yourself when doing readings.

Not Listening To Spirit

For a few months now I have had various health problems that have left me too tired to do any kind of psychic counselling work. I just felt that my own personal batteries were so low that I had nothing left over to give away. This is when the 'psychic vampires' tend to move in and drain as much energy as they can. I did attract a couple of people who came to me for help but they were leaving me totally drained.

In general I am not an unhealthy person and I was getting one health complaint after another. I really believe that because I refused to listen to that 'little voice', spirit took control and made it so that I couldn't work. Even my writing work was impossible.

I really believe that because I refused to listen and worked too hard at my various businesses, sometimes putting in fourteen hours a day, seven days a week, I was stopped in my tracks.

Things are improving now and I have started working again but I did learn a valuable lesson. 'Listen to that little voice that says, 'enough, attend to your own needs'. A short spell at re-charging that internal battery works wonders.

The hibernation period here in our corner of the world is just about over, and we are all emerging to start enjoying the sunshine again. Green Orb Shaped Lights

I had a rather unsettling experience the other night.

I was about to go to bed and I went to switch the light out in the lounge. In the corner of the room is a lamp with a bronze coloured base and a black shade. As I switched off the light I saw a pair of green orb shaped lights on the shade. They were quite small and they seemed to vibrate.

At first I thought they were a reflection of something in the room although I couldn't see how that could be. I switched the light on again and then off, trying to see if the lights came back again.

They had gone and I have not seen them again.

I have heard of spirit orbs and I can only think that someone somewhere was trying to tell me that I was not alone.

It was quite an amazing experience but not one that worried me at all. I just put it down to one of those unexplicable things and I am watching for it to happen again.

Are There Real Life Vampires?

Do you believe in vampires, or are they just myth?

Whatever you think, the stories of vampires drinking human blood have been told for hundreds of years. Most traditional tales originate from Central Europe (Transylvania) and the Slavic countries of the north.

Many people believe that Transylvania and vampires were inventions of Bram Stoker and the film industry, but stories of vampires have been around a lot longer than books, or films.

Central European countries like Hungary, Romania and others still push the Dracula link and there are even vampire holidays and vampire hotels.

Near to my home is a small village that is known for its vampire. Croglin is a small village in a farming area and stories of a real live vampire have been part of the oral legend since the middle of the seventeenth century. The story is published here: The Croglin Vampire.

The story is very detailed and I am tempted to believe it.

Strrange Ghostly Shapes On Video

Some of the shots on this video are amazing. The section with the hospital ghost is the one I thought most puzzling.

The Australian War Memorial clip was not very convincing to me. I was highly suspicious of the two figures either side of the angel (not even sure you could say it was an angel.)

Of course, I might be totally wrong but I am not quite sure that these clips are genuine. I did suspect a bit of tampering.

However, I do believe that ghosts exist in some form, so I cannot simply debunk the whole thing.

What's In Store For Aires in 2010?

Aries should be careful during 2010 because there is a big temptation to jump into new things without thinking carefully enough. Watch out for a situation where you over react and get yourself into a mess because you are trying to get out of another mess.

On the good side, this year sees better understanding and harmony around family members (maybe one in particular) who have been difficult to deal with. Old issues are sorted out once and for all.

Give yourself another six months and you will look back and feel really good and pleased with the progress you have made.

Keep career and your love life separate because there could be problems if you don’t, but for once the rose tinted glasses are off and you see things in all areas of your life exactly as they are. Time to tidy up loose ends and move forward. The rewards are amazing!

Getting Timings In A Psychic Reading

I often ask myself when I am giving psychic readings, why it is that it is so difficult to get timing correct.

What often happens is that I know for sure that something will happen. I know when the devastated lover is going to get the call that they have longed for and when the separated lovers will be united, but I rarely get timings.

The problem here is that if someone asks about timing there is a danger of my own brain kicking in and trying to search for a time. This is not a good idea. The only way that I get timing is when it just comes to me. Searching for answers doesn’t work.

An excellent example of how this can happen is one of a series of recorded readings a friend of mine did for me. She gave me the months and days of the month that certain things would happen. There was a whole string of them, one after the other. None of them happened.

However, three years later they started to happen in exactly the order she had given me and the days and months were correct. The only thing that was not on the tape was the year. I had assumed it was the same year. So she was right and I had proof!

Timing is a very difficult thing to get right in a reading although I must admit that it happens every so often that a date comes through in its entirety and it is spot on.

How To Use A Crystal Ball

Establish your intent with you crystal ball.

So, you have bought yourself a crystal ball, or had one given to you. You need to programme it to tune it into what you wish to use it for. it should be noted that it is much easier to tune in (programme) clear quartz crystals than it is to do it with coloured ones. The red, yellow and pink crystals have their own frequencies and make it difficult to change them. This has to do with their vibrational and mineral contents.

Before you start to programme, you must be vey clear in your own mind with regard to your intent. Your crystal can magnify this intent. There are many options here and you can choose for yourself what you want to optimise your crystal for:
Self healing, healing others, absent healing

Meditation.
Protection, harmony, love.
Dream interpretation.
Scrying or crystal gazing (reading.)
Past life recall.
..and many others.

How to start progamming a crystal ball.

Once you have firmly decided on your intent, you should take the crystal in front of your chest, about level with the heart chakra and breathe slowly and evenly. Focus your concentration and your mind on this area. Feel the link between, the crystal and your own energies.

Lift the crystal up to your forehead, just above where the eyebrows meet. This is the position of the third eye chakra. State your intention clearly. You can say this out loud, or you can just state it firmly to yourself.

You should repeat your intention several times to make it absolutely clear what your purpose it. For example, if you intend to use your crystal ball as a tool for crystal gazing, you would say , 'I programme this crystal ball to be used for gazing. I programme it to reveal to me, past, present and future' (or, use your own words.)

Your crystal ball is now programmed for use. You can tune it for use in several different areas if you wish. There is no need to stick to just one.

All you have to do now is to practise, practise and practise some more!

Blue Sprites And A Strange Event

I thought again today about something that happened to me about three years ago.

I had a very close friend who did not have long to live because of an inherited illness. I knew she was ill, but I had no idea that her time to go was so close. She had been in considerable pain for a long time, but never said much about about it. She always laughed and joked.

The friend died of something unrelated to her illness, but I can't help thinking that it was spirit's way of ending her suffering. I had arrived at the hospital too late. She couldn't wait.

As I walked down the corridor to take the lift (elevator) down to the ground floor I felt like I was floating along, almost on auto-pilot. I got into the lift and all around me was a bright white light. I then heard her voice, laughing and shouting 'look at me, I can walk up walls!'

A bright blue zig zag of light jumped like a sprite, up and down the walls and I heard her laughing. At the time I didn't think it was strange and it gave me an odd sense of calm to know that she knew I had made the effort to come and see her.

Since then I have looked back at the incident and realised that it is indeed strange, very strange. I don't think it was caused by shock and I'm sure I didn't imagine it, but whatever it was, it lifted my heart a little bit and I knew that she was aware that I had travelled over to say goodbye.

Gas Station Ghost

Customers at this Ohio gas station saw this weird ghost like spectre moving around. It was picked up by the security camera and seen by the naked eye.

However, no one knew what it was that they had seen.

The blue, misty light hovered in one place at times and then wandered around. Very weird!

Understanding The Messages That Come Through

There is something strange going on around me and I really don't know what it is. I know that sounds totally off the wall (or off my head) but it really is peculiar.

Let me explain.

When I sit in a particular place in my lounge I can smell very strong disinfectant. It smells like hospitals just after the floors have been washed. I haven't been using that kind of disinfectant and nobody who comes in here smells of it.

It is all very weird and I haven't a clue where the smell comes from or what it is. I can only surmise that someone somewhere is giving me a sign, or a signal and I am just not reading it properly.

Oddly enough this has happened to me before and I never discovered what it was about. The smell was there for about a week, then it just disappeared. I'll update when I work out what it's all about.

Does anyone have any experience of this?

Listening To That Little Warning Voice

From time to time quite insignificant things turn out to be important in the long run. Hunches and intuitive feelings can be important. I do believe that we all have this kind of intuition but not everyone listens to it.

For example: the chance meeting, overheard conversation, dream, or even instinctive hunch that something just isn’t right, can all end up being meaningful. This doesn’t happen all the time, but it is worth making a note when these things occur.

Something seemingly trivial happened to me the other day and I ignored it at first, but it kept coming back as small whispering voice, until I realised what was going on.

Let’s start at the beginning. I have an electric fire in my lounge (you need to know that!).

A few days ago I was browsing on the internet and looking, longingly, at one of those stainless steel food steamers that is digitally controlled. You can set the timer for each individual section by using the digital controls. I have looked at these many times. I had just received a little extra money so I thought I might buy myself one. It would look great in my kitchen.

Then, a voice said, ‘But you need the money for a new fire!’ It sounded as though it was in the room. I ignored it because I didn’t need a new fire. It kept repeating itself. I got distracted and didn’t order the steamer, or consider the warning important. I certainly didn't think it was my intuition at work.

That evening I switched the fire on and there was a loud clunking noise. The fire didn’t work. I took it to pieces and checked bulbs and fuses but there was no sign of a problem there. I couldn’t see any blackened wires, so there was no indication of where the problem was. The fire was broken and calling an electrician would probably cost more than a new fire. So, I needed a new fire. The little voice had predicted this that same day.

I went back onto the internet, smiling to myself, and ordered a new fire. I didn’t get my steamer, but maybe I will buy it later in the year.

Such a small seemingly insignificant thing turned out to be important! Listen to that ‘small voice’’ and act on your hunches.

Haunted Pub In Belgravia

In London’s Belgravia is the Grenadier pub. This is an ancient building with a lot of military history attached to it.

The inside is decorated with old military equipment and associated stuff from the days of the British Empire. This pub used to be a place where the soldiers of the Duke of Wellington’s Regiment came to drink and amuse themselves.

A lone grenadier is said to walk the premises, especially up and down the stairwell. He has been seen by a number of people on different occasions.

The story is that he was caught cheating at cards, so his fellow soldiers beat him and threw him down the stairwell and he died.

It always seems that tales of hauntings are accompanied by violent or unhappy endings. I wonder why those who have been unhappy in a place would choose to stay there. Surely it would make more sense for those who were very happy to want to stay in a place.

Beginners Guide To Palm Reading

What Would You Do If You Had A Premonition?

Every time there is a major world event, there are always people who say they predicted it, or knew it was about to happen. Everyone has dreams that sometimes appear to be premonitions, but most don’t come true.

So, what should you do if you have a premonition of a major event? You need to get it on official records before it happens, for anyone to take you seriously and be interested in researching it further.

Reading Ordinary Playing Cards Is Simple

When I first started to do psychic readings, I used a deck of Tarot cards. I opted for the Rider Waite pack because the images are calming and easy to interpret. I don’t like some of the decks such as the Halloween Deck, which have quite alarming images on them, or those which have occult type illustrations and give a very dark feeling when I use them. Of course, this is a matter of personal preference.

After a very short time I realised that I didn’t need the Tarot cards to carry out a reading. They served as a starting point but I always ended up gathering my information from elsewhere. Don’t ask me where it comes from. I really don’t know; I call it working with my guides, but others say it comes through ‘spirit’ or from ‘angels’. After almost forty years, I still don’t know, but I have developed a ‘sense’ of whether I can trust the information I am getting, or not.

I have done a lot of telephone work and it is sometimes difficult to get a start, especially if the person doesn’t talk. I don’t mean that they should give me information but I need to hear them speak to tune in to their voice vibration. It doesn’t matter if they just want to tell me what they had for breakfast, as long as I can pick up their voice frequency.

To get round this and to give myself a little bit of a safety net in case I can’t get a start, I use ordinary playing cards. These can be used in a similar way to Tarot cards and are often preferred by those who don’t like Tarot. (There are many people who are uncomfortable with Tarot cards, but there is absolutely no logic in that. After all, the cards have no power; they are just bits of cardboard.)

On the plus side many people already have a deck of ordinary playing cards and they are very cheap to buy if you haven’t. Many years ago I knew an exceptionally talented psychic who only ever used playing cards for her readings. She used to say that she didn’t need them but that people like to see her doing something. More about this amazing lady who sadly passed away some years ago, in a future post.

What Color Is Your Aura?

One or two people have asked how they can find out what their basic aura colour is. It takes a lot of time to learn to see the aura, but I did come across something that I must admit I discounted on first glance.

It’s a kind of quiz that asks you to give honest answer to questions and then tells you what your main aura colour is. You don’t have to give personal details, just take the quiz and get the answer.

At first I though it was amusing but it did surprise me when I got the result. Blue is my favourite colour and I have blue eyes. I tend to be quite calm and I’m what I would call a peacemaker.

The result of the quiz told me that I had a basically ‘blue’ aura.

Kirlian Photography Introduction

This is an amazing video clip showing Kirlian photography. There are other ways of seeing the aura and some people are able to see or rather 'sense' the auras of others around them.

I once had an aura photograph taken at a mind, body and spirit exhibition. It showed different coloured glows from each of the chakra areas and gold and green around the head.

A friend who was with me did the same and her photograph was pink with brown and black areas. She was in fact seriously ill but the person who took the photograph did not know that.

The lady concerned looked at the photograph, placed it in an envelope and asked if she could have a private word with my friend. It turned out that she had advised her to see her doctor for a check up in the liver area. Sadly, it turned out that she was totally correct.

Wrong Colors Can Clash With Your Aura

The colors that you wear need to match your aura. If the aura clashes with them, you won't feel good. Remember though, your aura may change from day to day, or hour to hour so colours that don't work with it today may match well tomorrow.

Different colours vibrate on different frequencies which is why they can affect mood and general well-being. If you have ever worn a colour that didn’t make you feel good, you will certainly know what I mean.

This happened to me very recently and it was only a casual remark made by a friend that made me realise what the problem was. I bought myself a green t-shirt in a lovely soft fabric and couldn’t wait to wear it. As I was putting it on I noticed that the green was a bit more of a yellowy green than I had noticed in the shop. I looked at it again and was about to put it back into the bag ready to return to the store. I didn’t really like it anymore, but it didn’t cost a lot so I decided to wear it any way.

I spent the afternoon with a friend who is a colour therapist, and she asked more than once if I was feeling okay because I was looking very pale and drained. To tell the truth I did feel uncomfortable and kind of agitated.

This led to a discussion on the shade of green I was wearing and I added that green was a calming, healing colour, so it should be soothing to wear. However, my friend looked more closely and described the colour as more of a harsh, mercurial green. ‘That’s what is making you feel drained,’ she said. I didn’t take a lot of notice.

Later, when I got home I changed my top for a yellow one and sat for a while. Within a short time I felt uplifted, and much better. The yellow colour had certainly done its job. I looked at the green t-shirt again and wished I had followed my first instinct and taken it back to the shop. Mercurial green is great for trainer shoes and Nike football boots but it certainly doesn’t suit my temperament.

Getting Results With A Pendulum

Pendulum dowsing is something that I have tried off and on over the years, with varying results. The most important part of working with a pendulum is finding one that you can tune into, or perhaps I should say finding one that will tune into you.

I had a little brass one which screwed apart to reveal a small chamber inside. The idea is that if you are looking for gold, you might put a piece inside, trying to locate a person you could put a tiny piece of something connected to them in there, etc. To be honest I quickly lost patience as the pendulum just seemed to swing wildly all over the place in my hand; it certainly was not still. A friend of mine could use the same pendulum to trace water pipes across a field. I guess it suited her and not me, so I gave it to her in the end.

Next I tried a rose quartz one which I use for map dowsing. I like using it and it feels good but I have never managed to attune to it properly. It works for a while and then starts behaving oddly again. An attempt with a black ebony pendulum brought the same kind of results.

So, I have conceded defeat for now. I cannot use a pendulum and I watch with envy as a couple of my friends show off their skills. Perhaps my energies are not suited to this type of divining, but give me a divining rod and I can pinpoint water channels across the garden, fields and roads. In fact I almost don’t need the rod because I can feel it flowing through my hands.

I guess what I am trying to say here is that if you have tried dowsing with a pendulum, rods, birch twigs, or whatever, and not had great results, don’t discount the idea. Try another way of doing it. Each and everyone of us is slightly differently tuned.

An Easy Way To Meditate

Cloud meditation is one of the easiest forms of meditation to learn. In five minutes you will be able to start using it and with practise it will take you everywhere and anywhere that other more difficult methods of meditation can take you to.

The method is simple. Find a spot where you can watch the clouds way up in the sky. I prefer to lie on the grass, or if I’m lucky, on a beach, but unfortunately it is seldom warm enough here to do that. So, I choose a spot by a window where I can get a good view of the sky.

First, relax. Sit comfortably, or lay down if you prefer and just spend a few minutes letting whatever is around you in your life fade away. Don’t worry; meditation is only a temporary break from it all. You will be able to continue sorting it all out later.

Breathe deeply and evenly and try not to dwell on stray thoughts. If these come into your mind, just let them float out again and direct you attention to the clouds. Watch how they float and change shape, swirling and rolling. Go with them and enjoy it.

Concentrating on the clouds will stop you from dwelling on your worries and stresses. It’s a very simple technique but it works amazingly well. I also find that this helps with clairvoyant work and can get you onto the right wavelength before you start.

Clairvoyance, Synchronicity And Jung

Clairvoyance comes in many forms and each and every one of us has it. It is part of our innate animal instinct. How often have we heard of the seemingly psychic cat that knows when its own is coming home? Then there is the story of the dog doing exactly the same thing. Clairvoyance is as natural as any other sense but not as well developed in many people.

Everyone is psychic and everyone has some kind of clairvoyant ability. These are natural human capabilities that many people use without realizing what they are actually tuning into. Many others ignore and discount the whole thing but that does not stop them ‘inadvertently’ using their own clairvoyant ability from time to time.

However, there are still those who refuse to even look at the idea that there just might be something outside what is considered ‘normal’ out there. This kind of attitude has been around for thousands of years and many have been wary of things that they could not and didn’t want to understand. It is amazing that even in the twenty-first century, this attitude still exists.

How many times have you had what you might call a ‘hunch’ about something and been proved right? Have you ever met a person that you were instinctively wary off, but you didn’t know why? How often have you been walking your usual route around town, or going to work, and for no apparent reason made a detour, which led to meeting someone you had not seen for a long time?

These things sound trivial but if you put them together they are quite remarkable. You are getting little snippets of information via clairvoyance, or psychic ability and not through your normal five senses.

Keeping a note of these things when they happen can prove quite fascinating reading. I kept a notebook for a couple of years and noted down what I call ‘meaningful coincidences’ or synchronicity. Synchronicity is two or more unrelated events occurring at the same time in a ‘meaningful manner’. The theory of synchronicity has a scientific basis and was first developed by the Swiss psychologist, Carl Jung.

Why not try it out? Make a note of meaningful things that would not have happened if you had not done something else. It can be quite revealing once you read back your notes and it certainly gives food for thought. It has convinced me that there is a master plan and that we are all like pieces in a great game; each one of our moves affects something else.

The Endless Knot For Meditation

The Endless Knot is well known as a Celtic symbol but it does have parallels in Hindu, Buddhist and Chinese traditions. The knot without an end represents infinity, going round and round, the endless flow of time and the journey of the pilgrim.

The endless know is an excellent symbol to meditate on before undertaking clairvoyant and other psychic work. It signifies that everything is eternally linked to everything else. Cause becomes effect and effect causes something else.

Celtic knot designs as shown on the picture included in the post are the source of most of our information on Celtic knots. The knots symbolize something that goes round and round without end and in Christian terms this is life everlasting, while in Buddhist terms it may be the cycle of birth and rebirth.

Use the endless knot for meditation and grounding before commencing any psychic or clairvoyant work.

How To Read Runes Today: Simple Instructions

Runes have been used for thousands of years. They are tools for a particular form of clairvoyance. ‘Rune’ is an ancient Gothic term which meant secret, wisdom, secret or hidden knowledge, wisdom, magic or enigma.

These are ancient Germanic characters which used to be scratched onto bone or wood, and later were drawn on ivory and stone. The original runes were used to make prophecies and to write inscriptions and they are still used today as a tool for psychics to channel their clairvoyance through.

The runic alphabet has just 24 letters in most traditions but is occasionally found with 25. To do a rune reading, mix the stones up in a small bag then use the left hand, while concentrating on the main question, feel around until you are guided to select a particular rune. Take care to notice which way up it is as it comes out of the bag because this can change the final meaning and so the answer you get.

If you prefer to use more than one rune to aid clairvoyance, lay the stones out side by side from the right to the left. Interpret them in the same order. You need to know the basic meaning of each symbol (learn this from a book) and then use clairvoyance to interpret the message given in the runes.

The difficult part of using runes for yourself is that they tend to take the questioner deep down into their own emotions and trigger off various clairvoyant responses. The answers may not be what you expected and they can leave you examining your motives from a completely fresh angle. Self-honesty is an essential thing to foster if you want to read runes for yourself.

When I mention stones in this article, I am not referring to runes scratched on stone. I use it as a generic term to cover all runes no matter what they are scratched, painted, or drawn on. A beginner can learn about the symbols and the way they build a story together with a very simple instruction sheet which is available free on the internet. There is an easy to use list of runes with their meanings explained here:

You can even draw the rune symbols on small pieces of cardboard and start learning from there but you will quickly find that you want something a bit better to work with as you progress.

Witch Wanted For Wookey Hole Caves

If anyone out there fancies a £50,000 a year job as a witch, then this is the perfect job for them.

Wookey Hole Caves, near Wells in England, have always had a resident witch. The old hag has to look the part, live the part and show visitors how to do magic, witchy type things.

This is part of the tourist attraction at the caves but the job is only open to genuine, comvincing witches.

Personally, magic is not my thing, so I won't be applying but this sounds like a real fun job for someone who can act the part.

Applicants are advised to turn up at the interview dressed for work and carrying any equipment they might need to use in their work. Sounds like a good time to arrive on a broomstick instead of a taxi.

Rick Wakeman's Musical Dream

English composer Rick Wakeman was interviewed this morning on BBC Radio2. He talked about his up and coming concert at Hampton Court.

The concert called: 'The Six Wives of Henry VIII' will be performed amid the splendour of Henry VIII's Hampton Court Palace. Rick wrote different movements for each of Henry's Queens. These pieces of music will only be played once at the two dates offered at Hampton court. (May 1st and 2nd)

So, what does this have to do with psychic ramblings?

Well, Rick spoke in detail about the writing of each piece of music but said that when he had completed the 'Anne Boleyn' piece he was not happy with it. Anne Boleyn was executed and he felt that his music didn't convey that properly. He had struggled for a long time to find an alternative ending, when he had a dream in which he was at the Tower of London, way back in Tudor times and he watched the execution. At the end, the music to William Monk's 'Abide With Me' played in the background.

He knew that this was the correct ending to his piece and incorporated it into the work. There were the usual critics who found problems and it was even suggested that the whole thing was a mismatch because Henry VIII was around in Tudor times and Anne was executed in 1536. William Monk wrote his music in 1861.

Rick Wakeman's answer to this was, 'Well, you didn't have the dream, did you?'

Strange Dreams

From time to time I seem to go through phases of having nightmares and waking frequently through the night, going back to sleep and dreaming a bit more.

Sometimes this is the product of too much work, or even too much red wine, but recently I have been keeping notes. The result of this has been lots of fresh ideas for my new book. It is based on a story that is given to the narrator via dreams and somehow the two things seem to be working together for me while I'm asleep.

The whole thing is quite exciting and I look forward to going to bed each night so that I can dream a bit more of the story.

Recording dreams can be a very useful thing to do. I was reading a dream diary that I kept more than five years ago and it has given me a great insight into the person I was then and how much I have changed.

If you don't already do this you might be surprised at what you can discover about yourself and even about others within your dreams. On the odd occasion you may even see something that predicts an event in your life. The records you have kept will be there for you to go back to whenever you wish.

Many people say they don't dream but we all do, it's natural. It's just that we don't remember dreaming. Writing things down as soon as you wake will encourage your brain to remember dreams and the more often you do it, the easier it will get.

Who's On Your Wavelength?

Synchronicity is a subject dear to my heart and I have written about it more than once but that won’t deter me from doing it again.

What is it?

It’s a kind of meaningful coincidence and in my view it’s what proves that there is a link between all things in the universe. Everything and everyone can potentially affect everything else. My explanation is ‘frequency’. Everything resonates on a particular frequency.

For example, I recently read an article in a US newspaper about this. Sorry, the name of the publication escapes me, but I am not quoting directly from it, so I don’t suppose it matters. No doubt someone out there will correct me, name the publication and tell me that it DOES matter.

Anyway, back to what I was saying. The way in which people on the same wavelength resonate together can be likened to the actions of tuning forks. If you take a number of tuning forks set to A and stand them up around a large room, then tap one of them to produce a note, they will all start to generate a tone. The wavelengths between them cause this because they are all on the same frequency. Put another set to a different note among them and it will emit no sound because it’s not on their wavelength.

So, the people who resonate on your frequency are all connected within the vast system that is the universe. Things happen on a universal level but they also happen between groups of people, animals and things that share frequencies.

To me this is a fascinating theory and one which quantum physics may shortly be able to explain. After all, scientists already know that on a sub atomic level, things can be affected by other things even though they are not anywhere near them. I don’t pretend to understand the complexities of this but I appreciate the gist of it.

I really do believe that many things that are presently classified as paranormal, will very soon be accepted by main stream physics as part of mainstream science.

The Secret Of The Chariot

Tarot Cards are all about symbolism. They have no power and they only come alive when the reader, or interpreter relates to the symbols. There is some superstition about these cards but they are only playing cards used in a game just like the modern playing cards we use today to play gin, snap, or whist, Tarot cards used to be a game played at court.

I have always drawn a Tarot card for myself each morning. This isn’t by way of a reading and I don’t expect the card to tell me what the day will bring, but my daily card usually offers guidance which is relevant to some area of my life.

What it actually does is to give me a focus for meditation and I am able to concentrate on the card whenever I get a few minutes to meditate.

Today’s card was The Chariot. This is the number 7 and it speaks of the sheer force of human will, moving forward and making progress and change by utilising the strength of will that I have inside me.

It speaks of emerging victorious from the struggle and the end of all the fighting and waiting. The victory has been earned by sheer determination and the battle is won. This usually refers to emotional battles where only the strong win through. So, The Chariot is a card of strength and victory.

It doesn’t say that this will be mine today but that dogged determination and strength of mind will bring me victory, so I must not give up, The winning post is in sight.

Cloud Meditation Is So Simple But Effective

It was good to be outside in the early Spring sunshine today. Yes, it was cold but there was still a wonderful smell in the air that promised fresh, new things and the warmth of the sun yet to come.

I sat for a while just staring up at the fleecy clouds in a bright blue sky and somehow drifted in a state of meditation without even trying to.

The clouds took on shapes and took my imagination off somewhere else and I felt a sense of flying, just like Pegasus the winged horse, soaring upwards into the clouds, without ever leaving my seat.

I thought I had only been doing this for a few minutes but I suddenly became aware of a cold hand touching my face. It was my own hand. I suddenly felt icy cold in the brisk wind. I looked at my watch and realised that I had been sitting there for almost an hour but I had no idea what had happened to me during the past hour.

This is a state of deep meditation that I have often tried to reach without success but I somehow slipped into this one. Maybe I needed this calm time to relax body, mind and spirit, more than I thought

Cloud meditation is wonderfully relaxing. You just get comfortable and focus on the clouds as they move around the sky, allowing your thoughts to wander where they will, but not dwelling on any particular area for long.

In summer I like to lie down on the grass and look straight up at the sky as clouds go scudding across and it is the most amazing way to relax and renew yourself that I know.

You don’t have to be outside, although I prefer it that way. You can watch clouds from a window but there is something very special about being out there and somehow feeling connected to the earth and the sky at the same time.

The Object Of Her Misguided Affections

I spent a few hours last night doing some private readings and the first three people I spoke to were regular customers of mine, who come back from time to time, but they all seemed to choose the same night.

It turned out that all three had similar stories. Their lives were running in sync and although their only connection with each other was me, they were facing the same set of circumstances and needed to ‘get their heads around’ the same difficulties.

That’s where the similarity ended. Each one had a completely different reading, but I did have to be extra careful not to drift back to the previous person.

During the last session something very funny happened. I didn’t realise how funny it was until about twenty minutes later.

I kept getting the name ‘Ginny’ and as I don’t profess to work as a medium, or anything connected with that I couldn’t understand it. I asked the lady I was talking to if the name meant anything to her. It didn’t, so I moved on. Then I heard the name again and this time it was accompanied by the warning, ‘don’t laugh!’

I decided that I had been overworking and should perhaps make this one my last reading for the day. It does get quite stressful sometimes.

A little while later my phone rang and a voice said, ‘It’s Ginny, I saw a man today and I love him. Tell me about him.’

I tried to explain that I wasn’t available but she didn’t want to listen. She hadn’t offered to pay me and I certainly was not going to get caught up in a ‘freebie’ reading. (I sometimes do these but only in special circumstances.)

Anyway, Ginny went on about this man and it turned out that she had seen him that morning on a bus, got off at the same stop and stalked him home. So she knew where he lived. She was planning to send him roses and a message. I tried to talk her out of it, suggesting that she might be better trying to talk to him first and find out more about him.

She became really angry with me!

‘That’s just ****** typical,’ she yelled, ‘I have told you all about him and now you are trying to put me off, so you can go and grab him yourself. Tell the truth……you fancy him don’t you?’

I tried to be patient and to calm things down by bringing my counselling skills into play.

She then went off into a stream of expletives and I could hardly stop laughing when I put the phone down. I shared the joke with my friend but we both agreed that the lady certainly needed help, but not the kind I could give.

I wonder who the man was!

Psychic Readings And The Law In UK And US

I was quite irritated by an article published on a website that I write for, which rubbished psychics and the work they do. There were flippant comments on the bottom the article referring to charlatans and cheats who cannot change things (no they can't change things butt hey don't claim to be able!). One commenter said that psychics should not take money from people who were desperate and that the money was needed for food. This makes it sound as though all psychics are there with the express intention of taking bread from the mouth’s of innocent babes.

This really annoyed me as these people were ill informed and making huge generalisations. First of all, I’m keen to point out that there is a big difference between the US Psychic industry and the British one. It seems that US psychics offer advice and predictions on absolutely anything as there are no restrictions.

In UK we have rules and regulations that govern the way Psychic Services are delivered. Psychics may not discuss medical matters unless they are qualified medical professionals, and they may not give financial, or legal advice. It was on the financial advice angle that the article was based. and the writer mentioned that the US psychic industry had grown by 40% since the financial situation in US became so critical. The assumption was that people were going to psychics for financial advice.

The BAPS is an association for psychics in the UK. Members may not give financial, legal or health advice, or guarantee predictions.

There are strict regulations regarding telephone psychics and these include the restrictions mentioned above, but go a bit further than that. No psychic may guarantee a reading. Customers must be given written and verbal warning that the service is for entertainment only and there is a legal limit on how much a caller may spend on one call. This ensures that the service operates legally and fairly.

There are charlatans out there and a psychic may be good for one person and not for another. Personally, I stick to the letter of the law and I don’t charge $100 (£50) for half an hour as quoted as the going rate in the article. In fact I earn nowhere near that.

I have come across several psychics who were uncannily accurate and I have no doubt that there a sixth sense at work there. I have no idea where this ‘sense’ comes from, but I do believe it is a natural phenomenon and that we all have it if we choose to use it.

Synchronicity, Or Meaningful Coincidence

Do you believe that life is a series of disconnected, meaningless coincidences, or do you feel that it is all part of a pattern and that is designed to a blueprint, or a plan?

There has been a lot of research on this over the years and famous people like Charles Fort and Carl Jung have come up with their own theories on what has become known as synchronicity, or meaningful coincidence.

Jung first used the word ‘synchronicity’ which refers to several seemingly unrelated events occurring together in a meaningful manner. The basic idea behind this concept is that if events can be grouped by cause, they can also be grouped my meaning. So, a group of events may point in a particular direction. Some find these often scary coincidences intriguing but others see no particular pattern in them.

We have all experienced synchronicity, meaningful coincidence (if that’s what we choose to call it) and chance events have set off a whole chain of things that would never have taken place without the first event.

Take, for example an experience of my own. I went out to catch a bus into the City but I missed it and had to wait a further fifteen minutes. As I finally arrived at the City centre, I met a neighbour who told me that she felt quite unwell and didn’t know how she would get home. At that point a bus that would take us home arrived, so I went with her. I walked her to her door and decided to go home. A whole chain of meaningful coincidences was put into action here.

As I walked into my kitchen there was black smoke billowing out from underneath the washing machine which I had switched on to wash before I went out. This was followed by sparks and the flooring beneath the appliance burst into flame. Fortunately I managed to put out the fire. If I hadn’t missed that bus, I wouldn’t have met my neighbour and the end result would have been devastating. To my way of thinking, this is a clear cut case of synchronicity, or meaningful coincidence. It was designed and planned that I should go home in time to avoid this potential disaster.

This is also seen on a more global level too. Some pretty strange scary coincidences have taken place. For example, in 1930, a New York commuter train plummeted off an open bridge and ended up in the sea. Thirty people were killed. When the photograph of the incident appeared in the paper the number 932 could be seen on the side of one of the coaches. A lot of people selected that number for the New York numbers game and they all won.

Another strange scary incident too place in the city of London in 1911. At Greenberry Hill in the city, three men were tried and convicted of the robbery and murder of Sir Edmund Berry Godfrey. Their names were Robert Green, Henry Berry and Lawrence Hill. Put them together and you get Green, Berry, and Hill. Meaningful coincidence, or not?

Writer Mark Twain was born in 1835 on the day that Halley’s Comet appeared. He died when it reappeared in 1910. He is said to have predicted his own death when he wrote that he came in with the comet and would go out with it.

A search of the internet will uncover thousands of reported instances of meaningful coincidence, or synchronicity. For me there is a power at work in our universe which gives these seemingly chance coincidences meaning. There is a great deal of proof around us that leads to the conclusion that coincidence alone does not exist. The events that happen in our daily lives are designed. They form part of a complex system of meaningful coincidence and synchronicity.

Then there is the other side of the argument which has been put forward by psychologists. They often state that our brains are pre programmed to find patterns in things and this is how and why we come up with these instances of synchronicity. We are capable of finding patterns in most things according to them.

I would agree that some connections cited as meaningful coincidence are quite difficult to fit together and accept but in my view, there is no doubt about the connection between events as described in my examples above. A quick search of the internet will uncover many more instances that can’t easily be explained away.

With Telepathy You Don't Need Facebook

Do you believe in telepathy?

I have always believed that some individuals have a kind of telepathic connection between them. This doesn't mean that one can always read the others thoughts, or anything like that. It's more of a link that switches on and off when it's needed.

I have a very close friend who is involved in similar work to mine. We have only met a couple of times, but we have a very strange connection. I only have to think about her to get her to contact me, and she does the same the other way around.

There have been many instances of this over the years and we always laugh about it and say 'One of us must be psychic!'

This has happened twice in the past week. The first time was when I called her and her husband answered the phone. 'Tell J I'll call her back,' she shouted.

Her husband asked her how she knew it was me and she just laughed.

The second time I had actually gone onto Facebook to see if my friend was logged in there. It's something I rarely do as this isn't one of my favourite sites. She wasn't, so I logged out. Then my phone rang and she asked 'Did you want me?'.

This happens so often that we treat it as a joke, or a game, but it is real proof of a link, whether it's psychic, telepathic, or whatever.

A Tea Party On Mount Olympus

A little while ago I did some work which consisted of interview and test reading for potential psychic readers. It was great fun and I came across some very talented people, but the bulk of the candidates were either not yet ready to move forward with their readings (i.e. not good enough).

There was another group of applicants that really fascinated me. These are what I would call the crackpots. I know I shouldn't judge but I'm sure I can be forgiven for thinking that this lady is some distance from what would be considered the norm.

Crissie (name changed) called me ten minutes later than her alotted time. She explained to me that she was late because she took tea every afternoon on Mount Olympus with Zeus and had been delayed. I asked her about these tea parties and she told me how he spoke of other Greek gods and what would happen in the world. I asked her to do a short reading for me and she said that she needed all my details, birth date, sun sign, moon sign, place of birth, eye colour, etc and then she would consult Zeus on my behalf and let me know the next day.

Of course, that's no good if someone is paying for a timed telephone reading. They would have to pay twice to get their answer. I couldn't work out whether the lady was intentionally trying to set the readings up so that callers had to call back, or whether she actually believed what she had said.

After twenty minutes she asked me, point blank, if she had a job and I did the cowardly thing. I told her that the decision wasn't mine and that if she was successful someone would call her later.

Must go, got to get dressed up for tea with Zeus!

A Pendulum Dowsing Forum

Dowsing is a very ancient art and first written records of its use were found in hieroglyphics
inside ancient Egyptian tombs. This art has been used for many things from detecting illness, as in radiesthesia, water diving and even the search for oil.

Water diviners usually use forked sticks to help them search out sources of water. There is no secret to this and it is thought that some people are able to detect certain frequencies and react to minor changes caused by water, oil, or whatever.

I attended a dowsing forum last weekend and among the people present was an old gentleman who could detect underground water and even pick out the route of sub-surface pipes with a yew tree branch. He said that he didn't know how it worked, but he had done it since he was a child.

In among these people were some amazing map dowsers who could actually look at a photograph of
scenery, a house, etc. and use a pendulum to locate them on a map. Map references were sealed in envelopes which were attached to the backs of the pictures.

However, what interested me most was pendulum dowsing for radiesthesia. This is simply using a pendulum to locate possible areas within the body where there might be a malfunction. It isn't intended as a diagnostic tool but the whole thing fascinates me. I have already spent some time learning about reflexology and energy flow so the opportunity to use a pendulum to 'read' a person's physical condition was something that seemed to be a natural progression.

Pass This Message On She Screamed...

I did a couple of hours on the phone this morning and the first request for a reading that came through was a lady who started to tell me about her husband who died a few years ago.

There was nothing unusual in this and although I don't profess to be a medium, or claim that I have contact with another world, people often call because they need reassurance that their loved ones are okay wherever they are. That I can do and once the caller feels more relaxed, I can move on to the exciting things that are out there for them to look forwards to. It's all about empowering the caller and giving them something to look forward to.

At least that's how it normally works.

This particular lady seemed sweet, gentle and very polite, but she suddenly burst into a tirade of abuse, all directed at her departed husband. I won't repeat it here but you can imagine the colourful language involved. 'You can tell him that I **** well found those *** letters and I know just what a ******** **** he was,' she told me.

I told her I was very sorry but I didn't operate a telephone service to the hereafter and that I couldn't do that for her. She then shouted that we shouldn't advertise psychic services if we can't do it. I explained that I could have just said 'Yes, okay,' and continued but that I wasn't in the habit of telling lies to people and I preferred to be honest.

'Well,' she said, 'I'll try somebody else then. You won't stop me telling him what I think.'

'Okay, that's fine,' I said, trying to keep my cool. I was a bit upset because I had done nothing but give her an honest answer.

A quick call to the office put in touch with a colleague to use as a sounding board, and within minutes I was laughing it off. There are some strange people out there and we can never be sure who will call. Some are quite rude and demanding but fortunately there are some very nice people who appreciate how difficult the job can be. Even after more than thirty years, I still get upset by people's attitude sometimes.

When's Nick Coming Back?

Several years ago, when I last did a bit of telephone counselling work, I used to get very frequent calls from a lady who always asked me, 'Is Nick coming back?'

My reply never varied, 'Did Nick say he was coming back?'

'Yes', she always replied, 'Thank you, you were cr** yesterday and last week, and you might be cr** next time!'

The point I am making here is that this lady was paying for a reading, short as it was, and had done many times before. The conversation was always the same and she always hung up on each call.

Imagine my surprise when I lifted the phone, 'Is Nick coming back?' She had found me again and I delivered the same reply. She then told me I was cr**, but I'm sure she'll call me back.

Putting Down Some Psychic Roots

For more than thirty years I have worked as a spiritual counsellor and psychic. Most of this has been on a voluntary basis but I have done the occasional show, or exhibition, for which I've been paid.

From the age of seven I knew that there was something different about me and I soon learned to keep that to myself. An elderly faith healer taught me the magic of the healing touch and showed me how to use my hands as channels. I never really thought anything of it when I calmed animals and soothed the younger children. To me it was as natural as eating, or sleeping.

It wasn't until I got much older that I began seeking explanations and reasons for these things, but I never found them. A study of comparitive religion and then psychology, failed to answer my questions, so I eventually just accepted it all and began to weave my life around it.

I recently went back to doing something that I had given up many years ago. I became a telephone psychic. I have a pack of Tarot cards but I don't use them in a conventional kind of way, which will be no surprise to those who know me.

These are my props and they provide a security blanket for me if I don't know what to say to a person. I can draw a few cards and usually find an answer of sorts.

I don't believe in mediumship, or that we can get messages from those who have passed over to the other side. I have always held that this is not a place we are meant go. I don't profess to predict the future either, so you might well ask what I do as a spiritual coach, or psychic.

Much of it is counselling, listening and psychology. Some times it has a little basic astrology mixed in for effect and a tiny pinch of intuition just to add some mystery, but the bigggest ingredient is compassion and healing.

I intend to tell a few secrets (no names of course) about my work and the people I meet as time goes on. When I hear, or learn something new, so will you.

I hope you will read and enjoy with an open mind and perhaps glean a little something that you can use in your own life, or at least find something to laugh about.

I have no idea how it all fits together to make a psychic reader and some times I wonder how I have untangled some of tales I'm told, but I do.

Am I accurate? Well, I don't claim to have any special powers, or gifts, but I do have people who I have given spiritual counselling to for many years, who still come back to me every so often. So, I assume that they must be getting something from it.
